I’m planning to develop a centralized crypto exchange and I'm currently designing the system architecture. I want to ensure that the platform is scalable, high-performance, and secure under heavy trading loads.

Questions:

Should I go for a microservices architecture or stick to a monolithic design for the MVP?
How should the matching engine be structured for optimal performance?
What are common bottlenecks and how do you deal with them?
Any examples or open-source projects I can study?
