Alicja89 Posted Sunday at 08:00 PM Posted Sunday at 08:00 PM Hey guys. I think I ruined my credit score due to gambling. I usually deposit small amounts at once. Most of the time it's £10. If I'm winning I withdraw most of my wins and keep the original £10 to play more. Then I either keep my withdrawn winnings or I deposit another 10 to another casino the same day or the next day. This made me have loads of transactions each month between my account and casinos. I think this ruined my credit score ... I have been notified by my bank to either freeze gambling spendings or set limits but I have ignored it as I felt like I'm not doing anything bad. Suddenly I have started receiving notifications from my bank that my credit score has changed. I didn't want to check it as I was not sure whether it will somehow affect the credit score so I tried to set small overdraft on my account and it has been declined! I've had overdraft on my account many many years ago and never been refused even when I wanted to increase it. Do you think my credit score has changed due to gambling? Is it possible if I have no debts, I have never been late with any payments, I have savings and my purchases have never been declined? I have stopped gambling from my account now as I'm scared that's what affected my credit score . If it did, how long do you think it would take to make it right again? Help! I was hoping for mortgage in the next 2-3 years and now I'm scared ... Quote

That should show you a detailed breakdown? Quote
Alicja89 Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM Hey thanks for your response. I actually checked my credit score about 30 min ago and it shows Good. I even tried to apply for credit card from Tesco (which is not my bank) and it got approved but I canceled it as I don't need it. I don't understand it really... When I got declined for overdraft in my bank it stated that this might be due to how I handle my account, my spending habits etc They didn't actually specified why it's got declined and why my credit score has changed (even though it still shows as good as I mentioned above) No clue Quote
