Askgambers-complaint Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I tried to submit an official complaint to AskGamblers but it won’t post as it keeps saying “invalid characters in the title” - does anybody know how to fix this ***** Issue: Wouldn’t let me close my account for months, ignored responsible gambling rules, and only closed it when I asked for my personal data. What Happened: For over six months, I kept asking BK8 to permanently close my account because I was struggling with gambling. They refused every single time. I told them gambling was hurting me badly, and I even said it was making me feel suicidal. Their own terms and conditions say that account closure is possible, but they kept lying, saying it wasn’t. BK8 is legally required to let players self-exclude under cert.gcb.cw rules, but they completely ignored this. Their Response: After months of ignoring me, they finally admitted that nobody was going to reply. They said they “closed” my account, but if I logged in within 7 days, it would automatically reopen. That’s not a real closure. They refused to acknowledge anything I said or follow responsible gambling rules. The moment I asked them for a copy of all my personal data (which they’re required to provide), they suddenly found a way to close my account instantly. They also lied, saying they don’t have any personal data on me. Every company stores user data—this is just an excuse to avoid sending it to me. Why This Is a Big Deal: They ignored responsible gambling rules – They refused to close my account even after I told them I had a problem. They lied – Their own terms say account closure is possible, but they told me it wasn’t. They only acted when I asked for my personal data – Which is shady and suspicious. They put me at risk – Even after I said I was in a bad place, they still tried to keep me playing. What I Want: A refund of all deposits made from the moment I first asked to close my account due to gambling harm. A full copy of my personal data, as per their own privacy policy. BK8 to admit they broke responsible gambling rules and change their practices. BK8 treated me horribly, ignored their own rules, and put my well-being at risk. This needs to be called out so other players don’t go through the same thing. If they don’t fix this, I’ll be escalating to regulators and making sure their sponsors know exactly how they treat players. Why? I too requested for a permanent closure of my account but they replied that they do not close any accounts in their records, so I was asked to use the self-exclusion clause instead. They informed me that if my account remained inactive for 12 months and more, the account would automatically be disabled, or removed, or deleted, or closed...sorry, but I do not know for sure which of these would happen, I have remained inactive for a few months so far, so I'd know better by next year. cocopop3011 1 Quote

In their terms & conditions it clearly states that if you want to close your account you can request this - but they will refuse to actually do this if you ask. many times I have shown them screenshots of this t&c when I ask them To delete my account - but they always say “we can’t cancel account …” or eventually after begging they will say something like “okay but don’t log in in the next 7 days or it won’t work” never seen anything like it. They will ask you to self-exclude for several months and let the account remain inactive and dormant for over 12 months, then only the system will automatically remove your account details. But in truth, I have a few casinos that I have not used for over 1 year but I could still do login! DAMN! Now I have to keep it dormant permanently myself! Quote

Leur réponse : Après m’avoir ignoré pendant des mois, ils ont finalement admis que personne n’allait répondre. Ils ont dit qu'ils avaient « fermé » mon compte, mais si je me connectais dans les 7 jours, il se rouvrirait automatiquement. Ce n'est pas une véritable fermeture. Ils ont refusé de reconnaître ce que j’ai dit ou de suivre les règles du jeu responsable. Au moment où je leur ai demandé une copie de toutes mes données personnelles (qu'ils sont tenus de fournir), ils ont soudainement trouvé un moyen de fermer mon compte instantanément. Ils ont également menti en disant qu'ils n'avaient aucune donnée personnelle sur moi. Toutes les entreprises stockent les données des utilisateurs, ce n'est qu'une excuse pour éviter de me les envoyer. Pourquoi c'est si important : Ils ont ignoré les règles du jeu responsable – Ils ont refusé de fermer mon compte même après que je leur ai dit que j’avais un problème. Ils ont menti – leurs propres conditions disent que la fermeture du compte est possible, mais ils m’ont dit que ce n’était pas le cas. Ils n’ont agi que lorsque je leur ai demandé mes données personnelles – ce qui est louche et suspect. Ils m’ont mis en danger – Même après que j’ai dit que j’étais dans une mauvaise passe, ils ont quand même essayé de me faire continuer à jouer. Ce que je veux : Un remboursement de tous les dépôts effectués à partir du moment où j'ai demandé pour la première fois la fermeture de mon compte en raison de dommages liés au jeu. Une copie complète de mes données personnelles , conformément à leur propre politique de confidentialité. BK8 doit admettre avoir enfreint les règles du jeu responsable et modifier ses pratiques. BK8 m'a traité de manière horrible, a ignoré ses propres règles et a mis mon bien-être en danger. Il faut le signaler pour que d'autres joueurs ne subissent pas la même chose. S'ils ne règlent pas ce problème, je ferai remonter le problème aux régulateurs et je m'assurerai que leurs sponsors sachent exactement comment ils traitent les joueurs. Il ne s’agit pas seulement d’un mauvais service client : c’est dangereux et il faut le dénoncer. good luck to you in your endeavors.
