Divemaster5734
Hello, I am not much of a gambler. Instead I occupy my time trying to splatter body parts along some track on my bike, testing the impact capabilities of my helmet against a boulder on the other one, or fishing "mano a fin" when underwater hunting. Honestly, I only bet on politics. Which is why I have found myself in this dilemma. I have an account with Online Betting that I started years ago with $20. It went up and down, and last time I used it was at $500- $600. I hadn't used it since the US Midterm Elections, which was two years ago. Apparently I missed an email they sent telling me that since I hadn't used the account in over 12 months they were going to zero out the balance, but then I could get that money back any time after they took it and all I had to do was ask. That all happened on 10/29/2020. I just discovered it tonight. I called their voice line, and was told basically "too bad, so sad", it's gone and tough turds to you. I protested, referencing the email, which they demanded a copy, as they had no such information and they considered it a closed case. After dozens of attempts to forward, copy/paste to a reply, etc, they instructed me to contact their chat. It took another 45 minutes with that rep, with myself processing the email in every format, finally saving as an image, converting the picture on a word page to a pdf, resizing and cropping it , converting back to word to resize again, and finally attaching the .docx to the chat text. There was a 20 minute wait for them to process. I was then informed they would examine the two paragraf document, and would "respond with our findings", in three days, maybe. But no promises. My questions, is this really a normal casino procedure? Why the ***** wouldn't they just refund it to the account it came from?, except for the free money thing. Do you know of anyone else this has happened to, and did they get their money back? And, should I file a complaint now?, or just chill out and wait, because there won't be any issues? I realize I fully brought this on myself, not bothering to read the email comes to mind as the great blunder. That said, it just doesn't seem very ethical to pull a stunt like that, but no one has ever accused a casino of having too much integrity that I'm aware of. I'll quit babbling along and open it up for comments. I want to thank you in advance, for any input that will help to cure my ignorance, Thanks, Divemaster5734
ValDes
Hey there and welcome to the AskGamblers Forum Sorry to hear about your situation... Weird, not so common, but nothing unusual nor unheard must admit. Available alleys in front of you right now are: - stay calm, be patient and let the Operator review your inquiry and respond with 'their findings'. Once done and if not happy with the outcome you may proceed further complaining; - move forward with submitting complaint with them and/or their regulatory body (if licensed at all). Let us know in case you need further assistance and good luck!
