Credit card transaction on online casino through 3rd party

Did anyone made a deposit to an online casino by credit card but turned on the charges was made through some online gift cards company? Is that legit? Can online casino pass your personal and financial info to third party for transaction? Why are they doing that?

As far as I know, only online Asian-based casinos do that, simply because local banks (including bank credit cards) are prohibited from supporting any gambling houses, so these casinos have to divert payments to any other bank accounts belonging to the casino or its nominees. Is this legit? Well, as far as the banks are concerned (not that they are not aware), the accounts are accepting payments from clients for purchases and has nothing to do at all with gambling (which is not true of course).

This would not happen if all local banks were allowed to accept transactions to and from casinos.
