  1. It’s the 21st race of the season at Sao Paulo, Brazil and we can all agree that no one during the start of the year thought that the battle for the World driver championship would be so intense at this point. We all were confident that Red Bull would win the Constructors championship third year in a row but they are 3rd in the standings right now and have been written off by everyone. Meanwhile Max Verstappen has been ridiculed for his behaviour at the US Grand Prix and almost the whole F1 world is after him. The Sao Paulo grand prix has always been an exciting event and the weather adds an extra spice to it. Ferrari and Red Bull have both shown some good pace during the weekend but it was McLaren that took the honours on Saturday with their spotless performance during the Sprint qualifying and Sprint race. We now look at what odds do we have for the qualifying and race for the Brazil GP. Lando Norris is favourite to qualify at the Brazil GP with odds of 2.10 but I feel Oscar Piastri has a better chance than him to score P1. So if you are a McLaren supporter then go for Oscar to win the qualifying and the odds are 5.50 for him to be at P1. Ferrari has shown some good pace over the weekend but they are not really that fast over a single lap. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have odds of 15.00 and 11.00 to win Qualifying but I see that as a waste of money. Max Verstappen, the championship leader, has taken a new power unit and was really fast during the weekend. So betting on him to win P1 can be a great bet and will give you returns of $5 on a bet of $1. Looking at the race odds the bookies have already picked Lando Norris as race winner with odds of 1.66 but I feel that Oscar is faster than him. Oscar Piastri may get team orders to allow Lando to win the race but that will only happen if Verstappen is not close enough. So if Oscar qualifies ahead of Norris then pick him to win the race and win yourself $5.50 on a bet of $1. Max Verstappen will get a 5 place grid penalty since he is taking a new power unit and this may cause some hindrance to his starting position but we will see a very fast Max this weekend. Betting $1 on him will get you $11 in return and he is my pick to win the race. Charles Leclerc has a good chance of finishing in the top 3 and odds of 1.61 for him to do so are a great bet to make.
  2. Today is the race day of the Singapore Grand Prix and this race brings some great odds for gamblers who like to bet on the sport. The best part about today’s race is not just about how exciting it’s going to be for viewers but also for punters as the odds for today’s race ranges from 1.01 to 4000. Lando Norris looked fast during the 3 practice sessions and him qualifying at p1 shows he has a good chance of winning the race. Max Verstappen who starts beside him has managed to overtake Lando in almost every race off the season so far and you can bet on Verstappen to do it again and win the race with odds of 1:5 in his favor. Singapore GP track is a street circuit and there are chances that we may have a few crashes during the race which may change the race outcome during any part of the race so you can also bet on Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso to win this race with odds of 1:21 and 1:200 in their favor respectively. If you want a bigger frame to bet on you can bet for the drivers to be on top 3. Apart from the obvious Max and Norris, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc both have a good chance of finishing in the top 3 and betting on them will get you returns of $4.3 and $9 on bets of $1 respectively. You can also bet on the team to win the race and as most bookies feel Mclaren will win I have a feeling that Red bull might sneak away with a win here and betting on them a dollar will give you $8 in return. Like I mentioned before this is a street circuit and margins for mistakes on tracks like these are small. Yesterday’s qualifying saw a crash which caused a red flag and looking at the history of Singapore GP its bound to be an eventful race. You can bet on the race to have a safety car and virtual safety car and the odds are 1:1.85 for this to happen.
  3. Formula 1 has a viewership of more than 70 million per race and this proves it’s a sport loved by fans. You cannot just enjoy the sport digitally but also on bet slips. There are many events during a formula 1 event where you can bet on so let’s take a look at the most popular ones. A Formula 1 weekend lasts for 3 days and starts on a Friday where Drivers test the track in two sessions called Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2. On Saturday they have a third practice session called Free Practice 3. At this point a viewer can decide which driver has good race pace and pick their favorites for the qualifying event. During the qualifying all 20 drivers compete to set the fastest lap during 3 sessions and five of the slowest cars are eliminated on Q1, Q2 and Q3. During the final qualifying (Q3) the fastest car is given a pole position (P1) and starts from the front of the grid during the race. All cars are placed from 1 to 20 in order of the fastest lap set by them during a session. You can bet which driver will be on P1 by going through the race pace set by them during the three free practice sessions or by going through their performance during the year. On Sunday you have the main event where all 20 cars start a race and every car has to lap around the track for a specific number of times. During this race a lot of events happen where you can try your luck to make some money. You can choose what driver is going to win the race and if you are not so sure you can bet which driver will end on the podium, the top 3. You can also bet which driver will finish on points. Points are rewarded to all drivers that finish in the top 10. Sometimes cars slow down due to mechanical failure or minor collisions or some other reasons and this causes a Yellow flag and a Virtual safety car is deployed. This is quite normal during an F1 race and you can bet how many Yellow flags will occur during a race. Sometimes these collisions can be severe and parts of the car may fall on the track or cars may be stationary on or next to the track which may cause hindrance to other cars and not just in terms of their speed but also the safety of the driver. This is where a Red flag is deployed and the race is stopped for a certain amount of time. During this break all the debris is cleared off track and race is only started until it’s safe to race again. The probability of a Red Flag is lesser than that of a yellow flag so the odds on this are higher and it’s a great bet to make. Formula one is affected a lot by rain as it’s unsafe to drive as there is water on tracks which may cause cars to slide and cause accidents. If you are [planning to bet on Yellow or Red flags then choose races where there is a chance of rain. You can bet what driver will be the F1 Drivers champion, which is decided by the driver having most points during the end of season. The same system applies for the Constructors champion where the most points scored at the end of the season accumulated by both the drivers of a team decide the F1 constructors champion.
