  1. Hi guys, Have just noticed I had a message at my BetAT inbox and what a surprise... BetAT is changing the way their bonuses are working. Here's the complete message though. Please read, I'll be curious to hear your thoughts about it...
  2. Hiya! Time for an analysis of Caribic Casino Terms and Conditions, so here we go... General Terms and Conditions 3 CHANGES TO THE TERMS OF USE 3.1. We may need to change the Terms for a number of reasons, including for commercial reasons, to comply with new laws or regulations or for customer service reasons. The most up-to-date Terms of Use can be accessed here, and the date on which they came into force is noted. 3.2. Where we make changes to the Terms of Use, which shall be notified to you in advance by email or by placing a notice on the Website, the player must re-confirm acceptance before the changes come into effect and he is able to place bets on our website. Thumbs Up - This is a fair and honest way when casino is changing its terms on the go. 4.4. When attempting to open an account or using the website from any other jurisdiction it is the responsibility of the player to verify whether gambling is legal in that particular jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that you comply with any laws applicable to gambling online in the country in which you are located and/or are a resident of. You must not access the Website and/or open an Account from within a jurisdiction that prohibits online gambling; nor must you do so if you are a citizen of a country that prohibits its citizens from participating in online gambling, irrespective of their location. Thumbs Down - If so, then a reasonable question arise… If it is player responsibility only to verify if gambling is legal or not within their jurisdiction then what is the purpose to exist all these licensing jurisdictions and/or regulatory bodies? Why it should be the player to take all that responsibility when casino could easily remove all forbidden countries from their registration list and avoid this way all misunderstandings at a later stage? 4.7. You hereby acknowledge and accept that, by using the services at the Website, you may both win and lose money. Thumbs Up - I like this one. Simple, clear and so true! 4.8. Your Account must be registered in your own, correct, name. You may only open one account. Any other accounts which you open with us in relation to the Service and the Website shall be "Duplicate Accounts". Any Duplicate Accounts may be closed by us immediately and: 4.8.1. If the total amount deposited to the Duplicate Account is played and lost, you agree to renounce your claim on the amounts deposited in the respective Duplicate Account; 4.8.2. If the total amount deposited on the Duplicate Account has not been used to place any bets, we will apply a fee of 50% of the deposited amount and return the remaining 50% to you. 4.8.3. If the amounts deposited to the Duplicate Account have been used to place bets which resulted in winnings, winnings will be made void and we will apply a fee of 50% of the total deposited amount on the Duplicate Account and return the remaining deposit to you. In the situation where after voiding the winnings, the remaining amount on the Duplicate Account is lower than 50% of the total amount that has been deposited by you, we will charge you a fee amounting to the remaining balance in your Duplicate Account. 4.8.4. Any returns, winnings or bonuses which you have gained or accrued during such time as the Duplicate Account was active will be forfeited by you and may be reclaimed by us, and you will return to us on demand any such funds which have been withdrawn from the Duplicate Account. Thumbs Down - Why so complicated? I lost myself on the second sub-term and could only imagine what is it with players with less experience… 4.9. If you wish to open another account, you may do so by contacting the Manager at [email protected]. If a new account is opened, the old account will be closed. Thumbs Down - Now, why this one? Casino keep explaining for half a page what will happen if player is found to be an owner of Duplicate accounts only to get to this particular term on the very next condition to read. Confusing, to say the least. 4.11. If you wish to close your account you must send a request to do so on [email protected]. By closing your Account, you also consent to the forfeiture of any promotional bonuses, prizes or benefits which you may have acquired. Thumbs Up - Strongly support this requirement, a serious action such as account closure must be done and confirmed in written. 4.12. In the event of closure of your Account because of gambling addiction or if your account has been closed due to fraudyou acknowledge that you are prohibited from opening a new Account. The Company will not be liable if you manage to open a new account, for such action nor for any direct or indirect consequential damages. The company shall have the right to close, at any time, a new account opened in breach of the requirement stated herein. Thumbs Down - And where’s casino responsibility and liability here? There must be a mechanism incorporated within the casino system which prevents players from registering more than one account using the same registration details. 5.2. The company complies with Maltese and European laws, regulations and guidelines for the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing. Suspicious transactions/activities shall be investigated by the company and, if necessary, a suspicious transaction/activity report will be made by the company to the competent Maltese Authorities. In any such event, the company is prohibited from informing any players or third parties involved, save in limited circumstances, that an investigation is being or may be carried out, or that information has been or may be transmitted to the competent Authorities. Furthermore, in the event of any suspicious transactions/activities, the company may suspend, block or close the account(s) of the relevant player(s) and withhold funds as may be required by law and/or by the competent Authorities. 5.3. All transactions made by players on our site are checked to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and all other illegal activity. Thumbs Up - Sure, no one needs dirty money into this business. 5.3. All transactions made by players on our site are checked to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and all other illegal activity. 5.4. By agreeing to the Terms you authorise us to undertake verification checks as we may require ourselves or may be required by third parties (including, regulatory bodies) to confirm your identity and contact details and to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing and in order to verify if you are subject to a sanctions regime (the "Checks"). 5.5. The identity of the player will be verified on cumulative withdrawals of €2,300 5.6. In certain circumstances we may have to contact you and ask you to provide further information to us directly in order to complete the Checks. If you do not or cannot provide us with such information then we may suspend your Account until you have provided us with such information or permanently close your Account. Additionally, you will have to provide identification whenever you make a withdrawal of funds amounting to Two Thousand Three Hundred Euros (EUR 2,300) or more. Thumbs Down - Term 5.3 does not comply too much with terms 5.4 and next… If 5.3 was true, then why casino is not conducting a full verification before ir right after the very first deposit? A rhetorical question though… 5.7. If we are unable to confirm that you are the Legal Age then we may suspend your Account. If you are proven to have been under that age at the time you made any gambling or gaming transactions, then: 5.7.1. Your Account will be closed; 5.7.2. All transactions made while you were underage will be void, and all related funds deposited by you will be returned; 5.7.3. Any stakes for bets made while you were underage will be returned to you; and 5.7.4. Any winnings which you have accrued during such time will be forfeited by you and you will return to us any such funds which have been withdrawn from your Account. Thumbs Up - Sounds fair, however if casino has bothered conducting a verification check before or right after the very first deposit, then such situations could have been avoided completely. 8.3. We do not accept cash funds sent to us. You sure?! Well, I do… 8.6. The bonus is stated separately on the account. It can only be paid out once it has been transformed into real cash winnings. If an account contains both the player’s own money and bonus money, the bonus money will only be available for wagering once the existing money has been used. Specific bonus conditions may be published on the website with the launch of specific bonus schemes. Before fulfilling the bonus turnover conditions if you transfer or withdraw the main deposit amount, bonus amount and all winnings from this bonus will be forfeited. If any bets are placed with bonus balance, then bonus cannot be cancelled. Thumbs Up - Fair enough! And simple...and clear as well! 8.7. Your Account is not a bank account and is therefore not insured, guaranteed, sponsored or otherwise protected by any banking insurance system. Additionally any money deposited with us in your Account will not earn any interest. Thumbs Down- How come that my account balance is not insured or otherwise protected? Each and every trustful casino must have a separate bank account for this purpose in order to secure and guarantee players funds. 11.4 We reserve the right to inform relevant authorities, other online gaming or gambling operators, other online service providers and banks, credit card companies, electronic payment providers or other financial institutions of your identity and of any suspected unlawful, fraudulent or improper activity, and you agree to cooperate fully with us to investigate any such activity. Thumbs Up - Please do that every time you come to a fraudster. If casinos were doing that more often then online gambling would have been much safer than it is now. The same goes in the opposite direction though. 12.4 You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the servers on which the Website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Website. You must not attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or similar. When breaching this provision we will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Website will cease immediately. Thumbs Up - Well well, seems like all recent hacker attacks on casino websites have already been added as part of casino terms. Hey hackers, do not do that, okay! 22.5 If the player feels unsatisfied and feels that he should lodge a complaint directly with the relevant authority he may do so by sending an email to [email protected]. Thumbs Down - Please update the complaints related details of MGA - their direct line support phone is +356 2546 9191 and they now offer online gaming support for players at http://www.mga.org.m...aming-support/ 29.3 Self-exclusion - If you feel that you may have lost control of your gambling, we provide a self-exclusion facility which can be activated by contacting [email protected]. Self-exclusion means that your account will remain closed during the entire exclusion period, which can be set for a minimum of 6 months. This is the major difference to a standard account closure request. Should you wish to activate permanent self-exclusion you may do so by contacting the above email address. Reasonable endeavours will be used to enforce your self-exclusion. However, you acknowledge that the primary responsibility for controlling your behaviour lies with you, thus you accept that we will not be liable if you continue gambling and/or seek to use the Website and we fail to recognise or determine that. We also recommend that consideration is given to the installation of software that will allow you to block access to internet gambling websites. See Filtering Systems at the bottom of this page. Thumbs Down - Could someone clarify what “reasonable endeavours will be used to enforce your self-exclusion” please? The way I see it, it means that casino could help a problem gambler and activate the SE agreement instantly, but could also give the run around forever. Bad, bad way to deal with such an important matter as problem gambling when it must be dealt immediately! General Bonus Terms 9. In the interest of fair gaming, there is a maximum stake allowed per game round when you are betting with bonus funds. This maximum stake is €6, or your account currency equivalent of €6. Thumbs Down - What about cumulative bets? Doubling? This term definitely needs some serious clarification. 11. In the event a bonus is not credited after a qualified deposit has been made, please contact customer support via e-mail [email protected] or Live Chatbefore any bets are made, and Caribic Casino support crew will manually grant the bonus. If you do not wait for the bonus to be set up before betting, our system will not allow us to credit your account with the bonus funds. Thumbs Up - Now I wish as many players as possible are reading this particular term. Keep in mind that this rule applies to 99,99% of all online casinos. 12. Maximum winnings from wagers made with bonus funds is €10,000, or your acount currency equivalent of €10,000, unless otherwise stated. This limitation does not apply to Progressive Jackpot wins. Thumbs Down - Limitations on winnings derived while playing with a bonus? Hmm, okay that would be fair if there were such limitations on losses too, don’t you think... 16. In case of any dispute, the decision by CaribicCasino.com is final. Thumbs Down - Nope, your decision is not final at all. There are number of possibilities for player to chase their claims against the casino, including usage of AskGamblers Complaints Service or filing a formal complaint in front of the official regulatory body.
  3. Hi folks As promised, Guru's expert analyses continues and today it is time for Casino Royal Dragon and its terms... First thing I noticed while examining their terms was the spelling mistakes, lots of them. Usually that's a bad sign, clearly indicating lack of professionalism and experience. But let's continue with the terms... General Terms and Conditions 1.2. Casino Royal Dragon is owned and operated by Platypus B.V., registered in the Commercial Register of Curaçao with number 136428, regulated by the Curaçao e-Gaming Licensing Authority and duly licensed through a sublicence granted on 11 August 2015 by Curaçao Interactive Licensing N.V pursuant to Master Gaming Licence #5536/JAZ. Thumbs Down - Okay, but where’s the link to that license so that anyone could check the relevant casino licensing agreement? 1.4. If there is significant changes to these Terms and Conditions, then Casino Royal Dragon shall notify the User of such changes for example placing of a notice on a prominent position on the Website. Casino Royal Dragon reserves the right to add, remove and amend Games and their respective rules from the Website at its own discretion. It is sole responsibility of the User to ensure that he is aware of the amendments. Continued use of the Website following any changes to the Terms and Conditions will be deemed to be an acceptance of the Terms and Conditions as amended. Thumbs Down - How about sending an email to all customers instead of “placing of a notice on a prominent position on the website” which seems to be the most convenient decision from casino perspective, but definitely not that good in terms of players best interests. 2.1. By accepting these Terms and Conditions the User herey declares and warrants that: ... He intends to participate and participates in the Games strickly in his personal non-profession al capacity for recreational and entertainment reasons only ... Thumbs Down - Except the spelling mistakes, what bothers me seriously here is the usage of expressions like “recreational and entertainment reasons only”. I’ve seen many players being accused for winning too much based on the aforementioned ‘rule’, but not a single case where someone has been refunded for losing too much, which by the way could be easily considered as non-recreational and not entertainment play, right… 2.3. Casino Royal Dragon takes no responsibility if the User loses whole or part of the money deposited into the Account and the User understands this risk. Thumbs Up - I know it sounds as a default requirement, however you will be surprised to know that many players are playing fool when it comes to live with their gambling losses. 2.6. The User shall only use credit and debit cards and other financial instruments that are valid and that lawfully belong to the User. Thumbs Up - A simple and clear explanation, although it is not clarified what would happen in case player is using someone else’s card for example. 2.9. The User shall use courteous manners, all rude and impropiate language is prohibited. Thumbs Up - Yes, unfortunately sometimes players seem to forget that casino reps are people too, with their own bad and good days… 2.10. It is the User's sole responsibility to print these Terms and Conditions and all transactions effected in relation to the use of the Website and to keep them in an easily accessible and safe place. Thumbs Up - Perfect! This is something which every player must do upon every new registration at online casino/s. Printing or saving a copy of the casino terms and conditions applicable at the time of your registration could save you a lot of headaches and troubles in case of a dispute with the casino on a later stage. 2.11. Casino Royal Dragon takes no responsibility if the Website and links does not work properly. The User agrees that he is using the Games and the services Casino Royal Dragon Website provides at his own risk. Casino Royal Dragon shall not be liable for any amount exceeding the funds deposited by the User and shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses including loss of profits or winnings. 2.12. Casino Royal Dragon and its employees do not guarantee that the Website is and works flawless, or the Website and the Games included on the Website will be accessible without interruptions. Casino Royal Dragon does not guarantee that the Website is fit for their purpose. The User accepts that Casino Royal Dragon, its employees and business partners are not responsible in any case for any cost, loss, expenses, damage, consequential, incidental or otherwise, arising in relation to the User's use of the Website or participation in the Games. Thumbs Down - “...takes no responsibility if the Website and links work properly...”, “...do no guarantee that the Website and the Games included on the Website will be accessible without interruptions...”, “... does not guarantee that the Website is fit for their purposes ... “... Absolutely ridiculous method of saying to your customers “Hey, we don’t give a heck what’s gonna happen with your funds/wins/sessions if our website and/or games are screwed somehow”. 2.13. Any person or User may at their own discretion choose to exclude themselves from playing any Games on the Website. The User need to contact by sending an email [email protected] and indicate that he wants to stop playing on Casino Royal Dragon Website. Thumbs Down - And not a single tool available for players to set limits or choose to self exclude on their own? Sorry, but this is not Responsible Gaming, but more like a pathetic attempt to implement such… 3.3. During the registration procedure the User must fill up all mandatory information requested into the registration form so the information provided is true, complete and correct. The User has sole responsibility to ensure that the registration information he provides is true, complete and correct and the User hereby warrants to Casino Royal Dragon that the information provided is true, complete and correct. Thumbs Up - I know this one is a pretty common term, however many players prefer to give a fake phone number only to find out their winnings being rightfully refused based on that particular term afterwards. 3.13. If the User does not log on to hes account for a consecutive period exceeding 12 months, Casino Royal Dragon deems that the User account is ”Inactive”. Once the account is deemed to be inactive, the User agree to pay Casino Royal Dragon a monthly administrative fee of EUR 5 - or the current balance of the account if less – as long as a balance remains positive. Therefore Casino Royal Dragon is authorized to debit this fee from the Users Casino Royal Dragon Account in the beginning of the next month following the day on which the Users Casino Royal Dragon account is deemed inactive. This fee will be collected until the Account is re-activated or until the account balance is zero. The Account admin fee is charged as permanently inactive Casino Royal Dragon customer accounts require considerable organizational efforts. Thumbs Up - 12 months seems as a reasonable period to consider an account as inactive. Although the explanation that ‘...inactive CRD customer accounts require considerable organizational efforts’ is a bit too much. 3.19. Whenever possible Casino Royal Dragon will effect withdrawals using the same method and account chosen by the User to make deposits however Casino Royal Dragon reserves the right to change the withdrawal method by its sole discretion. Withdrawals may incur charges by third party banks or financial institutions depending on the deposit and withdrawal method selected by the User. In reference to clause 2.12 it is the Users sole responsibility to take care that he is aware of these possible third party fees. Thumbs Down - Changing the withdrawal method chosen by player without a rock solid argument and unless it’s not a method impossible to use for a refund, is actually a behaviour used by most rogue casinos. 3.24. Casino Royal Dragon reserves the right to close an Account and to refund the User the Available Balance, excluding relevant withdrawal charges incurred, at Casino Royal Dragon's absolute discretion and without giving prior notice or any obligation to state a reason. Thumbs Down - Terrible term! Imagine the situation where you lost a fortune and then casino all of a sudden decides to apply this term, just like that, without any valid explanation and/or reasons provided… 3.27 Each bonus awarded by Casino Royal Dragon need to be wagered 20 times, unless mentioned otherwise in the promotion sent by Casino Royal Dragon, before the User is entitled to make a withdrawal request. If the wagering requirements are not met by the User, Casino Royal Dragon reserves the right to decline withdrawal request. Without exception bets in LIVE games, Roulette or BlackJack does not count as wagered bets. Thumbs Up - To be honest, have troubles recalling when was the last time when a casino was offering only 20 x bonus as wagering requirements. 4.10. If the User breaches any provision of these Terms and Conditions or, Casino Royal Dragon has a reasonable ground to suspect that the User has breached them, Casino Royal Dragon reserves the right not to open, to suspend or to close the Account, withhold payment of winnings and apply such debit on the Account to the amount of any damages due by the User to Casino Royal Dragon. Thumbs Up - Heads up for this one, because there are some unscrupulous operators which are not limiting only with confiscation of winnings and funds to cover damage done to the casino, but also steal players deposits which is illegitimate! 4.12. The User is hereby acknowledging that Casino Royal Dragon shall be the final decision-maker of whether the User has violated Casino Royal Dragon’s rules and Terms and Conditions. This may result in suspension or permanent barring of the User from participating and using any of the services offered by the Website and Casino Royal Dragon. Thumbs Down - Still having troubles to understand why casino keep posting the same thing again and again when it crystal clear that it is the relevant licensing authority whose word is final in case of a valid dispute between player and casino 4.17. Online Casino reserves the right to cancel your account for any reason whatsoever at any time without notifying you. Any balance in your account at the time of such a cancellation will be credited to your credit/debit card or financial account. Thumbs Down - You are kidding, right? Bonus policy Wherein any term of the offer or promotion is breached or there is any evidence of a series of bets placed by a player or a group of players, which due to a deposit bonus, enhanced payments, free bets or any other promotional offer results in guaranteed player profits irrespective of the outcome (whether individually or as part of a group) the Casino reserves the right to reclaim the bonus of such offers. It is in its absolute discretion to settle the bets/stake, void the free games or void any bet funded by the deposit bonus. ... Players staking 10% or over the value of their real money deposit in a single bet prior to wagering the deposit 5 times or over, with the intention of drastically increasing their bankroll will be flagged as high-risk players and shall be monitored. Example: a player depositing €100, then immediately proceeds to wager over €20 per hand will be deemed high-risk user. High-risk players will not automatically be deemed advantage users, but will fall under a higher level of security and their gameplay will be monitored for changes in bet value. …. A player who wagers high value hands with the sole purpose of rapidly increasing bonus bankroll, then proceeds to drastically decrease their bet values (less than half) without having reasonably decreased his/her bankroll, will be considered to employing unnatural betting patterns for the purpose of gaining advantage. Such cases may require the Casino to immediately disqualify the bonus and any winnings therefrom derived. Each case will be investigated and acted upon accordingly. This type of game-play is thus strongly discouraged. ... Any player found to be employing a strategy by which the player places high value bets while playing on any game with specific bonus weight decreased to or less than 30% (any table game, card game, video poker etc.) and then proceeds to place bets of a value less than their current average bet while changing game type to higher weighted games (slots, scratch cards etc.) such player will be immediately disqualified from the bonus and face enforcement where the player’s account may be closed. In such regard no discussions will be to be entered into. Thumbs Down - Got a terrible headache reading the above so called ‘bonus policy’. Although most of it represents some pretty standard bonus requirements, the chosen wording used to represent that is below all common standards. I would make sure to check with their support twice prior using any bonus.
  4. Hey folks As promised, tonight I'll try to make an analysis of the General bonus and casino terms and conditions for Parklane - a newly added casino to AskGamblers database. Hope it's gonna be useful for all those who intend to join Parklane casino or have already done it. Please, keep in mind that the goal of making such analyses is to outline those rules which needs your attention and could have a serious impact over your future stay at the casino if you are not totally in aware with their meaning. I. General Casino Terms&Conditions Thumbs Down - Accepting casino terms and conditions means to sign a contract with that casino. If you signed a contract with the casino for let’s say a bonus with 10x WR and then casino change that WR to 100x afterwards, then it means that the change will affect you directly and significantly reduce your chances for a successful playthrough and that’s not fair at all. Players are bound to the rules which they accepted upon registering at the casino and casino is obliged to inform them in case of a change that could influence them in any way and/or affect their payments, bonus requirements, etc. Thumbs Up - Asking players for confirmation of their age before allowing them to deposit is in fact highly effective and quite simple measure at the same time against underage gambling. Thumbs Down - Having such rule is simply hilarious. Especially when it comes to proving the methodology in which a player is being considered as “recreational” or not. Thumbs Up - This is the way it should always be. Online casino industry should never be used as a mean of money laundering, not to mention terrorism funding. Thumbs Up - I really love to see when casino explains such an important detail in such a simple and clear way. Thumbs Down - It is not clear what exactly this exchange rate will be, neither the conversion fee. Such important details should be written in way more transparent way to avoid further confusion and financial losses. Thumbs Up - Great! Now make a single step further as request that proof before the first deposit. Thumbs Down - Hmm, could someone explain to me why it should be the player to pay for a cashout? Definitely thumbs down! Thumbs Down - Very high minimum amount allowed for a withdrawal. Majority of online players are in fact choosing to cashout amounts under 100 EUR/GBP/USD. Thumbs Down - Very low maximum amount for a monthly withdrawal limit. I could understand such limit for 24 hours, or even for a week, but for a whole month?... On top of all, the remaining money will be returned to player’s balance which is of course totally unfair and even considered as an attempt to urge player to gamble and to lose eventually. Thumbs Down - So, it appears that those who placed deposit limits will be punished with even lower withdrawal limits? That’s unfair and unjustified. Thumbs Down - Tricky and unfair rule which caused so many players lose their withdrawals on a later stage. When I asked couple of years ago another casino using the same term why they didn’t change that rule and simply put a max allowed bet as an absolute value, they never replied back. Obviously, some casinos prefer using such kind of terms referring to max bet allowed while playing with your own money and no bonus is attached, simply because that would help them find a way to void players winnings on a later stage. Thumbs Up - It is essential for any player to understand that Responsible Gaming means not only rights, but some obligations as well. Thumbs Down - This is not considered as a good practice when it comes to applying Responsible Gaming policy. A serious company should be responsible and to take all the necessary measures to prevent problem gamblers from opening/using other accounts across their network. It’s not a rocket science after all. Thumbs Up - Seems as the only possible fair resolution in case a software glitch caused some game crash. Thumbs Down - Hmm, I believe this is not quite true as there is another place where all players game transactions should be kept and that is the server/s of the gaming provider. In case of a dispute, it is the gaming provider’s records which are being put into an investigation by the relevant licensing authority, simply because these records are considered as the most reliable source de facto. II. General Bonus Terms and Conditions Thumbs Up - Simple and clear instructions what you are supposed to do if you want your bonus removed. I like it when casinos do it this way and avoid using lengthy and confusing procedures for such a simple thing as a bonus removal Thumbs Down - Why? Once a withdrawal has been requested it goes into casino’s hands and player has nothing to do about it. Then why being punished with receiving no bonuses only because casino is slow on withdrawals?
