For me, the main thing is self control - I have had some bad experiences lately where I have reversed more withdrawals than I would like, or worse still made more deposits than I could really afford. I've been so lucky though, and always ended up coming out on top in t the end, but I've certainly learnt my lesson!

Oh wow this is a tough question these days. It depends if you take into account the fairness of bonus wagering requirements, withdrawal times and terms, welcome bonus requirements... all kinds of stuff. 32red group used to be the kings of customer service but with the removal of flushing and implementation of the 24 hour pending period on withdrawals I dont think they can be regarded as the best anymore.

BetAT and Slotty Vegas might have been near the top of my list were it not for the 50% wagering contribution for Dead or Alive during bonus play... so I guess it has to be GUTS maybe? or perhaps Stan James, they don't offer much in the way of special promotions or anything but there is certainly no messing around when you do play there, everything is straightforward and by the book.

Dead or Alive - 0.09p, 7000x bet for £630 or so
Playboy - 30p, 3000x bet for £900 in the second feature
Great Blue - 25p, 1600x bet during the 10x feature round including 2 retriggers

Can't think of any more right now but might come back and edit when I get my screenshots out....

Oh, Thunderstruck2, 30p, 2000x bet in the Wild Magic (Loki) bonus round as well !!

That screenshot is just brutal in its own way though too! Just another wild or two two in the right place and it could have have been 2-3 times as large... thats DoA for you. My maximum is around 7000x  bet right now but I know that 10,000x bet is possible ... probably even more! I cant wait for the day one of us gets a full screen or 13+ wilds, thats gonna be sooooo sick...

Or failing that, a full screen of wilds on great blue at 15x multiplier

I absolutely love going out to the real casinos in my city, though i do have to put up with my fella ogling the incredibly attractive women dealing the cards and other games... I admit I can't help but have a little look at them myself too though

I seem to have more luck on land based slots as well which seems strange to me as I am sure that they have lower RTP than on-line slot games, but I guess thats just how luck works ... right??? Very odd....

For anybody else that lives in Leeds, UK though I definitely recommend the Grosvenor next to the Stick or Twist over by the Merrion Centre at the top end of town. The food is much better than Napoleons and the poker room gets far more action!

This game is horrible, the only "potential" it has is to steal your money in record time. I can't believe NetEnt at all, it was bad enough them making games with a 500x stake maximum win now they are knocking it down to 400x ?!?!

For the love of god, would ANYBODY play this slot if they realized that even a jackpot spin would only give them such a pitiful return? I hate the way they plaster "WIN UP TO 80,000 COINS!!" across the top of the game as well, as I am sure many people will not realize what this really means, perhaps they will think they can win £80,000 or something... I just think its really wrong.

I got a whole bunch of free spins on this game from a variety of casinos I frequent, and amazingly only hit ANYTHING on around 9-10 spins out of almost 100! A "low variance" game, I thought, was meant to deliver small wins quite frequently -these NetEnt games deliver almost nothing, almost never, despite the low-variance-game certainty of having no chance of a huge win.

Any on-line casino that bars a player for using a roulette system is completely rogue! Good casinos welcome these players as they know they are a guaranteed moneymaker for them. The thing with roulette systems, including even Martingale, is that they can work for a short period of time, and those that use them have fun whilst playing so there really isn't any harm in it I don't think provided you do understand you are just being lucky and you don't have some infallible method or anything!

When I first began playing on-line i did try the Martingale on roulette, but luckily for me I ran into the obvious problem very early on and learnt a valuable lesson ... after a couple of winning sessions I hit a horrible string of losses and was faced with the option of making a £512 bet to keep going with the progression, or to accept that the system had failed me ... As things turned out I took the rest of my balance to the slot and recovered the £500 or so I had just lost on the roulette table, I dread to think how much I could have lost if I had continued doubling up and losing... £512, £1024, £2048, £4096 ..... all just to get myself £1 up on where I was to start with. OUCH!

I definitely would agree with the side stating that the "traditional" match bonus is on its way out.. the rules and regulations attached to these bonuses are just getting more and more ludicrous all the time, and I think cashbacks and casino race type incentives being offered by casinos like BetAT and VideoSlots are much fairer to players, and importantly, much easier to understand especially for those who aren't yet fully versed in on-line gambling lingo.

I'd like to see a feature of some kind here at AskGamblers where these kinds of innovative "bonuses" are researched and reviewed as I bet theres lots out there that I've yet to find out about!

Sometimes these "unlockable" features can be a bit of a nightmare! I guess when I first saw them I just automatically assumed that each subsequent feature would be better or more generous... a bit silly now I understand slots a little better but it seemed to me at the time, that as you have to play and spend money to unlock these things there should be some benefit financially to doing so....

Sometimes you will unlock a new feature, and the first time you try it you'll hit an amazing win, so you think its a great new feature, yet of course the next few times are pretty lame - a little like you have described above. So you get excited about unlocking the next feature and yet the first time you try that one, when it finally opens up, it pays rubbish!

I guess the answer is just like every other aspect of these games, its all completely random, but you have to hand it to Microgaming, this method of opening up new features and options as you continue to play is just a masterstroke in terms of keeping us playing and interested! Or maybe I'm just a sucker....

90% of my slots play tends to be at the very low end, especially compared to some of the insane betsizes I see on here and other on-line forums... I can't help but be completely fascinated by the thought of what kind of job/earnings people must have in order to be dropping £6 per spin on Immortal Romance, or £9 per spin on Dead or Alive... you know it just seems completely insane to me!

I'm sure there are some who like to bet big even if they dont earn huge amounts of money but my own experience of playing on-line slots tells me that I won't last five minutes if I make a deposit of say, £300 (huge by my standards) and start betting £6 per spin... thats only 50 spins afterall!!!

So yes, I tend to go for the minimum bets, or around 0.18-0.40 if its a 9/10 liner, if I'm feeling a little crazy I sometimes go up to £2.00 per spin at the most and I only do that when I have a balance of over £500, usually with horrible results that leave me kicking myself for a few days afterwards... I'm hoping so much that one day its gonna pay off and I'll finally reclaim all my losses from doing this, but I guess only time will tell!

I so TOTALLY agree with you ValDes, I think something really dreadful has happened to the guys at NetEnt who decide and design on their new slots game output. The last decent game they made was Creature from the Black Lagoon IMO and that seems like a real long time ago now. Even that wasn't a true classic anyway!

Stickers had real promise I thought, but I knew as soon as I watched the promo videos and saw the horribly low prizes being awarded that it was going to be another non event, an abomination, a horrible waste of one of my favorite slot-game-features, the sticky wild - being wasted and mis-used in this low variance money gobbler. PLEASE NETENT SORT IT OUT !!!

Even with a $200 deposit, betting at $1 a spin is a little risky I would say. You are only depositing enough for 200 spins, so its entirely possible you might only get a total of 500 spins on a bad day and its far from impossible not to see a bonus round in just 500 spins. By dropping to around 0.50 per spin you would have a much better chance of seeing some features, though I accept that the potential winnings are of course halved as well and perhaps your one of those players who want to "go big or go home" ...
If that is the case though, then dust yourself off and just have another try next week/month .... because when your big one does come, it should be pretty tasty indeed at $1 per spin! Especially if your playing DoA, you could well see $5,000 (or more!!) on a lucky day, so dont give up! Though don't go crazy chasing your losses either (disclaimer

I'm surprised to see anybody recommending Baccarat as I think thats a really dull game to play on-line... blackjack is surely much more fun, but both are far better in live dealer format. Of course though if you really want to win big slots are a much better bet!

Dead or Alive is certainly a fun game my best hit on that game is 7000x my stake. Sadly I was betting the minimum at the time of £0.09 per spin but ended up with £632 after the bonus round - amazing! Another time I hit the five scatters for £225 and then hit another £320 in the bonus round as well! You won't find another game that can pay so much for so little bets!
I don't think the rest of the NetEnt games are up to the same standard though. So many of the "popular" ones eg Starburst are really very poor IMO. Microgaming slots can be much more fun, and I think some of the smaller up and coming developers are really showing promise too eg Nextgen, Leander, Quickspin, people like that. My boyfriend is hooked on the Playtech game Great Blue and has won a fortune from it a few times now, but personally I think it sucks and the RTP is very low at about 92%. Each to their own though!!

I haven't been able to play at these two brands for a little while now as I'm in the UK and Vegas Partner Lounge decided that us here in the UK were not a worthwhile market when the latest regulations kicked in ....

I have to say though with regards 777 Dragon, they were the one particular VPL casino who used to promote far too aggressively. I remember getting called on my mobile at all hours of the night with pushy customer service trying to flog me a crappy bonus or something, despite repeatedly asking to have my mobile number removed from the marketing lists. This never happened with the other VPL casinos I was registered at, so I hope for the sake of their current customers that this stops now with the death of 777 Dragon!

I've got to admit this topic stirs up a lot of emotion for me. Reversing withdrawals has got me into so much trouble in the past and I honestly just completely hate myself if I end up reversing all of my winnings and losing them, particularly if I've already told my boyfriend how much I've won and how happy I am etc ...

Recently I have actually begun using the deposit limits and the "take a break" settings at some of my favourite casinos to help me with the temptation to play on when I know its time to take a break, and back in the day I would giggle at people who couldn't control themselves and used such things ... I guess I learnt some humility as I graduated to being a habitual gambler!

The best thing you can do though of course, is to choose casinos that have NO reverse period allowed, and that is what I do now - once the money hits my Skrill or bank account, the temptation to spend it again drop massively as it is now real money that I could spend on anything I like. If your in a country where you have such options available, then use them!

Those guys are really pushing the boundaries as far as features and player interaction are concerned.

The numbers kindof mean nothing to me though when they are presented in this way out of context... telling me that x person won x dollars playing unknown games at x casino pretty much doesn't inspire me in any way whatoever!

I've been playing quite a lot at Stan James in the past month, mainly £0.09 - £0.27 spins on Dead or Alive. I've had a five scatter trigger for £450.00 on an 18p spin, followed by a wildline on a £0.09p spin or £365 for a total cashout of £470 on a £20 deposit. Exactly a month later I made a £50 deposit and got down to my last £5 before hitting my craziest Dead or Alive win ever - playing £0.09 per spin with just £2.00 left on my balance I hit a bonus round that left me with a balance of £631 ... bang on around 7000x my bet!!

Of course, Dead or Alive is never going to pay you a few million.. unless you find a casino (and have the bankroll!!!) that will let you pay £10,000 per spin or more...! Hopefully though my point is clear
