  1. Well, i think this is valid numbers. But to achieve this payout 103.12% -  you need to hit jackpot. Otherwise you will have 93.99% i believe. And since chances to hit jackpot is quite very low - i am will not play this game because currently payout 103.12%.

I partly agree with you :)

You are right that the jackpot needs to be hit to achieve this high payout. But if you, like me, like playing a lot of slots then using some numbers like this should increase the chances in the long run. I found this pretty nice description on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_jackpot#Break-even_point

How should the numbers look for you to follow them? I mean, you might prefer a higher average payout and then also a high jackpot on top of that?

  2. Hey there,

Since I am very interested in the progressive jackpots and how they relate to the RTP (return to player) I tried doing some calculations to find out if any progressive slots would actually go above 100% RTP. I found one now!

    The Monty Python's Spamalot slot

Here is some of my data:

    Average payout: 93,99%

Jackpot contribution of each spin: 3,00%

    Initial jackpot: $500.000

    Average jackpot: $1.078.219

    Current jackpot: $2.837.575

    Current payout: 103,12%

What do you guys think about these numbers? Would you consider playing a progressive slot machine based on numbers like these?

Looking forward to getting some feedback :)

  3. Thanks for the warm welcome cocopop!

And thanks for the suggestions - I also previously tried some of these games you mention...

But I was doing some more researching, and one thing I should be looking for is the progressive slot's "break-even point". This is the kind of data I am looking for.

Do any of you know of some service that collects the live data for the different progressive jackpots? I want to know which slots are most "hot" at a given time.

I guess some of you guys are also only playing the progressive slots when they are above a certain amount? What's your strategy for that?

  4. Thanks for the answer Cassaon-casino!

I'm definitely looking to optimize my chances of being profitable playing the progressive slots.

I enjoy playing slots, and I know that it's more likely not to win in the long run. But I believe that we can find some value in playing those slots where the jackpot is high and it hasn't been hit for a long time.

Does anyone else has the same approach as me? And any tips on finding these hot progressive slots? :)

  5. Hey guys!

What is your favorite place to look for hot jackpots? I am in the search for something that will give me the overview of all slots with jackpots, which ones are hot (has a high value - the jackpot is high compared to when it is normally hit), the average hit amount etc.

I am guessing there are some services like this available out there, but I haven't seem to find any.

Also, what criteria are most important for you when you are looking for a nice jackpot slot?

Have an awesome Friday out there :)
