A lot of that stuff goes on at WSOP. Few years back I returned from dinner break and my stack was short 100k or so. Out of 320k I'd left. Dealer said he didn't see anyone. [and you're not allowed to take your chips with you so...] yea.

It would appear I am too stoopid to work out the YouTube complexities. -

thanks - it's a pity I have trouble converting them into actual money I wouldn't know re: your question. I recognise "kimbo slice" means UFC but I never got into it. Too much wrassling on the ground for my likings.. -

Greece protesters set to destroy economy
scuter replied to casinoblisters's topic in Trivia, Quiz Games & Non-Gambling Talk
People are generically incapable of acting in their own best interests when their best interests are only really evident when viewed wearing macroeconomic or "big picture" goggles. The Greeks rioting against measures required by the lending nations who are saving Greece from bankruptcy....are simple, mindless creatures only a couple levels above primates. They can't be expected to comprehend such complexities. Or think more than one chess move in advance. Or think about the future at all. Not when it's more satisfying to riot and burn and destroy. -
Whoa! 3 to a Royal instead of 4 to a Flush is almost ALWAYS correct to hold. There are some exceptions when penalty cards mean you technically should hold 4 to a Flush, but you could ignore those exceptions always without it costing you much at all. The most common mistake made in Jacks or Better [especially at InterCasino due to dodgy autohold rules - sigh] is holding 4 to outside straight instead of a low pair. Holding the pair is a MUCH better play.

Succinctly correct. Every aspect was just pure stupidity on Rival's part. Allowing the issue to even occur, not addressing it whilst I complained privately, then wall of silence / zero damage control from Rival once it was very public...and then allowing the idiotic Tradition representative to say things like "the number of blackjack hands you get is dependant on skill level" [paraphrased] in the public domain to justify Rival's 'audit' [proved to be false by statistics showing their claim for BJ hands was a 0% possibility occurrence].... ....all unfathomably stupid. Which is why I couldn't see any possible endgame which didn't involve collapse. -
Once I doubled on 20. It was a $500 wager. It didn't work out in my favour. Also, of course I didn't mean to do it. But internet lag [my internet seemed fine so I can only assume the server at their end was having trouble] resulted in a delayed click or w/e. I wasn't given a refund - I guess because I could have hit an Ace. So it's a real brilliant angle-shooting opportunity for me. I lost $100,000 that night. Guess I was cheekily going for a cheating $500. On 20 rather than 19 or 18 or 17 which would make more 'sense'. Of course that begs the question of why doesn't every casino code "are you sure you want to double / hit on 20?" as a precautionary measure against misclicks.... The cynic in me thinks it's because sometimes people accidentally double or hit on 20.

I, four one, don't see that incident as having any impact on the result whatsoever. I mean, if the score was 2-2 and Germany won on penalties or they finished 2-1, they were robbed! But the score was 4-1 so.... If they lacked the professionalism to compete as a result of a single bad refereeing decision.....they should all get 95% paycuts and none should be playing for their country. Because allowing a single bad decision to end their ability to compete in a sudden-death World Cup Finals match is obviously the very opposite of performing "professionally". The way I see it, either they were disgraced on the field by a vastly more talented team on the day. Or they were disgraced on the field by their own shockingly unprofessional inability to compete following a single bad decision. I'm fairly certain I know which one is more....embarassing. -

I am not religious but I shall pray for you. Saying it's likely your best shot seems morbidly cynical. *seems*. sigh. That's a sigh for us both. I was first led to believe this may be the case when I was staring at a Blackjack hand paid at 1:1 instead of 2:1 as per the felt it hovered on top of. This was some time back. I did my best to make the issue a matter of public record. I had told many people in the months between then and now that Rival are incredibly risky and that, frankly, I couldn't see any 'endgame' working out in their favour.... Ugh, I'm being an "I told you so" type. That's not a type that will be 'appreciated' when houses of cards come tumbling down. -

It's a pity that what is quite an excellent software platform is managed by chimpanzees in suits. At least, this is what I am assuming. If they didn't wear suits, how could they have fooled so many casino operators into going into business with them? They must have been wearing excellent suits. -

I was drunk when uploading the complaint - slight clue to be found in [what I thought at the time] was poetic prose but which appears to be [in the cold harsh light of sobriety] some silly rambling at the conclusion New title is much better, I didn't even put the casino name in the old title. Everything tops - looks brilliant...thanks again.

Good news [for now] is that I changed my password and was able to login and post a Complaint using Chrome [after attempts at logging in using IE and Firefox failed] - the issue is likely resolved, I suspect Bad news is that I mistakenly assumed html code could be used and my Complaint is unreadable [as it currently appears] as a result - whoops.

Oh I'm VERY certain it's just my PC or even something silly I inadvertently did without realising it. I have a way of bringing out the bugs in fully bug-free software. And hardware for that matter. I should be like a Charlie Test before product launching

I'm glad that I'm not laughed into oblivion, which [due to my lack of technical understanding] was / is always a totally possible scenario with something like this. I mean, obviously winning a Progressive jackpot that large is incredibly rare and I'm not really playing the Progressive expecting to ever win one in my entire life - but just the *chance* of winning is enough to make the game fun. That *chance* needs to be genuinely there though And I accept that, in all likelihood, it was just a freak coincidence. But 'freak' is almost putting it mildly. I'm genuinely not sure which is more likely - winning the 3.3 progressive *once* you're spinning for it....or a 1million:1 coincidence. Pretty sure it's the former - and the lack of response from Risk Management and the fact that I've asked two MGV VIP managers for their thoughts on this and received no reply....the whole thing is creepy at best. And at worst? The sad thing is I have about 20 Complaints to file. And I'm lazy. But I think I'll crack open my unused IE and see if I can post this up as I've kinda done the work already so in your face Lazy!

Almost surely the same issue, but just tried to add a comment in alfreed's Planet23 not paying winnings Complaint - I was able to do this before obviously, but when I tried just now, the page simply refreshes. I still haven't gotten around to trying out other browsers sorry. Firefox and IE just feel horrid when one is used to Chrome
