  1. Hey guys, I am new to this forum and would need your suggestions. I won 5000 USD recently from a casino. But the casino deducted 1700 USD as tax and paid me approximately 3300 USD. I don't have any losses to account for my win. I had a work visa and was obligated to report it as my income, so I had to pay taxes. But now that I am in Canada, can I get the tax I paid refunded? If so, how do I go about it? I have heard of US tax recovery services(https://casinotaxrebate.com/) helping people do that, but is that possible in my case. Also, in the current pandemic situation where the casinos are struggling, would I get my money back if I file a claim? Has anyone here been in a similar situation, if so please share your personal experiences? I really appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!
