Not a lot you can do tbh that I know of. The UKGC are aware and even if they did get involved it’d be to investigate their possible breaches, rather than provide a remedy.
Do find it odd that these issues fall into a black hole
It's really frustrating I have put it to ecogra adr but I don't think they will take it on because it's regulatory issuses
UKGC are waiting for me to send my sar's information and they asked me to email the company (playojo) and request a deadlock letter with information from there investigations and said if they don't send me one it's another breach
I have read that Ellis jones solicitors have won cases with all the same regulatory issues trouble is I've gambled all my money and can't afford to take legal action at the moment
-
Heard back from there complance team today and they said they going no future with my case but won't give me a deadlock letter detailing why
The ukgc have said to me on the phone there is multiple failures in sow and social responsibility
What now adr won't deal with regulatory issues

SOW is just to check if the funds used to gamble were obtained legally and in this case you weren't doing anything illegal just using your savings to inject into the casinos' fat wallet.
I'm trying to find out on what grounds they sent me one and if there in compliance for not having me fill it in and continue to deposit around a further 40k with a gambling addiction
-
The reason for the contact is that under the conditions of our operating license we’re required to ask our customers for information and proof regarding how they earn the funds they use to gamble. It won’t take a minute, you just need to read this email and then log into the My Account section and upload a document or documents proving your source of funds.
Depending up how the funds you use to gamble came into your possession, for example if you are a salaried employee, or a business owner, or you sold property, or inherited money, will depend upon the type of document or documents you need to upload.

They have sent me a source of wealth that means they have done a risk assessment as part of the Aml process but never completed your obligation
Or they sent me a sow because of my deposit amount and never completed the process for the DDC kyc
Or they sent me a sow because of my red flags on my account and never completed your obligation to responsible gambling / social responsibility
All 3 obligations result in a failure
Does this seem right??

Yeah, they work for the casino but as the compliance team they owe a duty of care to work in the best interests of the company. Hence if they re-review and find failings they should be acting on it.
It's certainly a lot better to sort any issues out before it gets potentially escalated to other parties outwith their control.
It's why most complaints areas have an Ombudsman and companies don't tend to like the complaints being escalated to such. Having said that, Casinos in the UK don't really have one as the UKGC aren't one seemingly - maybe why a lot of casinos chance their arm as they know recourse is limited.
Now, compare that to the financial services industry and it's a different kettle o fish
I guess I would get a report of some sort

Morning all
I had a email last night from the site saying that there complance team are looking into my case and I should have a response in the next few day

As they work for the site

You weren't in the right state of mind, cause of tilt
good that you made some withdrawals that's sensible.
reversing withdrawals is something players talk about and most of the time it leads to losses. I've only ever done it once and Lost it. That was after finishing bonus wagering.
I put 12500 the first month and 33000 the second then managed to stop after another 9000 ish from 1st Nov untill the 14th
I say stop myself managed to get help to block me
-
I've managed to get some information today
Total deposits are £54388
Withdrawal £14500
Reversed withdrawals £23780
Who in there right mind reverses over £23000
Most reversed are around 3-4k
From the 1st of September to 14th Nov

I have been depressed for a while work stress and problems at home but it has got significantly worse I've hit rock bottom and told my wife what's been going on and she is helping me deal with it and helped me gamstop and self exclude on the site
Im not sure what I was doing I played for fun it didn't bother me when I lost stupidly and when I did win I put it back in I lost count on my deposits and they got bigger and bigger untill I spent money that wasn't my own ect I literally had no control couldn't stop myself untill I had nothing left
I will have a look at the documentary
Anything to do with gambling ie adverts ect sends me into an anxious state at the moment so I will wait awhile before I do

Well, must admit you 'sound' as the typical problem gambler so really hope you have already taken the relevant course of actions to fight with it.
Re the issue in question, I guess you are pretty much in a limbo here with ADRs refusing to handle SE/RG issues and UKGC refusing to handle individual player disputes. Not sure if any third-party mediation service such as our AGCCS for example would also agree to process the case since we talk about detailed analysis on whether specific UKGC LCCP stipulations have been properly implemented and sanctioned by the operator which is almost mission impossible to say the least...
Sincerely hope you will receive some feedback from the UKGC any time soon and they will provide some/any resolution.
I have registered with gamstop and I am also talking to gamcare and I am seeking medical help for depression
It has really impacted on my life in every way
-
I understand that the gc are probably not going to tell them to give the money back
I'm hoping that it gives me enough leverage to get my money back with a pending investigation
If I don't get my money back atleast it will stop them doing the same thing to someone else who has a gambling problem all they have done is enabled me and kept sending me gifts ie vouchers worth £100s and giving me free cash to play to keep me interested

Hi there @Stevenrr and welcome to AskGamblers Forum.
Have two really simply questions prior giving you my two cents...
How exactly UKGC 'engaged' with this particular issue considering the fact they usually do not handle individual player disputes?
What would have happened had you won big while playing with these huge best?
Thanks.
I rang them and explained what's happened and there are interested in how I've been able to deposit 20k in the first month with out any sow checks and the I managed to put another 30k +without filling in a sow after they sent me one
-
They asked me to get a subject access request for my details on myself and send it to them
-
I have contacted them by telephone and I have a complaint ref ect
If I would have won big I would have played it back in
I had many 3-6k wins that I reversed and put back in
Was addicted to playing the game more than the money
-
My account is closed yes
The gc have asked me to wait untill they having me there res
-
Every game I played I max bet on thinking I would win big but never did and any wins I did get I reversed and played back in that's how addicted I became
-
The game is exclusive to the site I believe
-
I would tell you but I've requested a refund and I'm waiting a response I don't want to name and shame untill I get a answer from the site
I've been in contact with a solicitor who will take up my case if necessary
-
At one point I was doing 200 spins
Casinos us the sow to not pay out to people surely it can be used the other way as well
-
The money was mine from my business account from deposits ect
I have spoken to the gambling commission and they said that I should never been able to put that much in with out the sow and sof being filled out and the casino site should have stopped me playing untill the sow was complete
I haven't broken any laws as the money comes under liability to hmrc and costomers not theft
I just lost control and couldn't help myself chasing my losses
Gambling commission are going to look into the matter because the casino have broken the responsible and social regulations and Ive should be able to put that much on with out the sow
-
Hi I'm new to this site and I wanted some advise
I joined a "site" and I have been addicted to gambling I have put over£50000 into slots over 2 months I have been out of control and the casino site just kept ringing me and giving me gifts ect making me vip
They sent me a source of wealth and I never filled it out and they didn't chase me on this
I have spent money that isn't mine and money I should have given to hmrc ect
If they made me fill the source of wealth I would have never been able to get my self in the position
Is there anything I can do
Source of wealth and refund
in Suggestions and Feedback
