THE TRUTH BETWEEN REAL PLAY AND FUN MODE PLAY Hi there everyone! Being a veteran gamer (have been playing slots for donkey years), I feel I should give my few dollars and cents worth (surely worth more than just cents, hehehe) of input regarding this matter. I'll try and make it as simple as possible so that everyone can understand easily. Firstly, the definitions: REAL PLAY - meaning, playing with real money that you have deposited into your casino's account, with or without bonuses offered by the casino (a depositing member having a real money account). FREE PLAY - meaning, playing with credits (money) or free spins offered by a casino, usually for new players, to let them play in the casino for free, to let them get a taste and feel of the games, with an intent of recruiting them into the casino as new depositing members. PRACTICE PLAY – or more commonly referred to as FUN MODE or PLAY FOR FUN, means playing games with fun money (not real money) given by a casino, either for practice (to familiarize oneself with any particular game or games) or simply for trying out the various games available in the casino, with an intent of recruiting new players as depositing members. So, is Real Play really any different from Free Play, Fun Mode Play or Practice Play? On the surface, no blatant or obvious differences are noticeable, as designed to be. The times when any player wins easily in the Free Play or Fun Mode Play is usually attributable to just being lucky or having good luck! However, notice that in some casinos, an on-screen message would pop up whenever a big win has been encountered, with the message “Lucky you! Would you like to play for real money now?” Hmmm. Excited new players, especially those who cannot control their emotions well enough, may eventually switch over to real money play! They get registered, make a deposit, gets a huge welcoming bonus and off they go into real money play, full of excitement and anticipation, hoping to make that big win again. But do they? Very rarely indeed! Only real lucky ones do make a win. To all others who did not, they would probably be thinking “darn…no luck today…maybe next time?” Sounds familiar? Why is this so? Why is it always ‘seemingly’ easier to win when you are in the Free Play and Fun Play Mode? Now here's the most probable catch! In order to make new players become overwhelmed with excitement when playing in a casino, software developers have provided and/or introduced subtle tweaking provision/s of the non-real money gameplay in their software, which does not interfere with the real money gameplay settings! The end result? Non-real money play can therefore be manipulated and tweaked as how a software client (casino) wants it to be! Believe it or not! The proof? Here’s one. Why is the Real Play mode (having a real money account) always separated from the Fun or Practice Play Mode (having no account)? In truth, to allow players to play in both real money and fun modes, without having to ‘switch over’ accounts, does not need state-of-the-art technology to separate them apart! There are other crucially important undisclosed reasons for keeping them apart! One of them is none other than for making wins come easier in the free and fun mode play! Playtech software provides many extra gameplay variations NOT FOUND in any other software. For example, any player who already has a real money account would be required to register a second time in order to use the Play For Fun mode whenever CONNECTED to the internet. But an alternative is available - any player can use the same registered username and password to play in the Play For Fun mode ONLY when OFFLINE! To all those familiar with Playtech software, this is indeed a very useful variation, allowing any player to play for fun with UNLIMITED non-real money! You can either start off with the given $2000, or manually increase the amount up to $999,999! Whatever fancies you! However, this alternative fun mode is only available at fully dedicated Playtech casinos, without having any mixture of other software games. William Hill Casino, for example, is not a fully dedicated Playtech casino because it is using a mixed platform (you can read my review on William Hill Casino if you haven’t done so already). Needless to say, I, for one, ALWAYS find it easier to get wins when playing in the fun mode! I should know better too because I have played and practiced in the fun mode for about 3 years before finally going into serious real money play! Still not convinced? Here’s another proof! I am sure that every player has taken up free play and free spins offers at one time or another. Free spins offers in particular, NEVER FAIL to end up with some win at the end of the free play. Most of the time, most players would end their free spins play with a PREDETERMINED win – notice how the wins would always be in and about certain amounts such as $10 or $20. If you so happened to win more, lucky you! Hehehe. Then, why is it that whenever you continue playing with that won money you would end up with zero balance eventually? Just pure coincidence? No luck at all? No, not really! The truth is that the free play and free spins mode had been tweaked to give a predetermined win - and then switching or reverting back to real money mode to recover all the money back!!! It’s all in the software tweaking provisions, believe it or not!!! In short, although no one can really prove what I have just described above (you think software providers would openly admit this?), I openly dare say that playing in the free play and fun modes can never be the same as when playing in the real money mode! A casino’s existence is everything about making money, in every possible legal way, and recruiting new customers is a NEVER-ENDING task and target to any casino for survival! Ponder on this! Cheers!
