  1. Does anyone else notice on live Blackjack tables the kind of player that makes a split on a 20 hand or just hits on 17-19 hands? There's always at least one of them, and rarely more than five, and they make the most boneheaded move possible. In some cases, at the expense of the rest of the players.

It's such a pain, we have about 2 every other day but no actual idea which casino they are coming from because they're mainly mailers from casinos we've not registered at!

Doesn't it say the names of the casinos or the return address on them? Not sure how they can  do it anonymously.

You're not going to find any casino that doesn't ask for your address unless you're at Pay and Play casinos that use Trustly etc (not available for UK at the moment)

And none of them to my knowledge will accept Paypal etc as that's the whole point of them - using Trustly/Banking ID  for KYC etc.

If from the UK and registered to vote -easily obtained anyway from places like 192.com.

Also, you shouldn't be worried anyway as it should be opt in to these things. Don't opt in, shouldn't get anything, get something, then report them.

Not to say there's not a chance of sharing of data across places - though again, you need to agree to this via their privacy policy in theory, though i'm fairly sure a few folk have done this outwith the law tbf.

Some folk, use bespoke email addy's ([email protected] etc) when signing up to casinos so it's easy to find the culprit (though i've never bothered)

I guess I'll have to just register for a post code asking site, and find the opt out feature while hoping no slip ups are made.

Kind of makes me hesitant to hand that particular detail over in case something like this happens. I'd rather look for no account casinos, but I've yet to find any that have PayPal available.  I didn't have this issue with Grosvenor despite them asking for my address because they did not take the postal code (And I left all but the Emails promotional options unticked.). Though I'm sure they'd be able to find out anyway if they were so inclined.

Hey there @Proxy and welcome to the AskGamblers Forum :)

As already advised by @pinnit2015, you should use the 'unsubscribe/opt-out' options offered by the relevant casino operator. Usually you would find these options as features under My Account tab or something of the kind. If you fail to find it, you'd better seek for further assistance from the casino support team.

If you have subscribed from receiving emails from casino affiliate websites such as AskGamblers.com for example and you don't want that any longer, you should unsubscribe/opt-out from these websites too.

I don't mind receiving e-mails. I just don't want to end up receiving mailing letters by mistake.

Probably should have clarified - meant more where some of these details are passed on (sometimes in breach of GDPR etc) to other's within the group.

Just go in and unsubscribe - job done. Might be a pain but sometimes the email footer has a direct link and it's just a case of one click.

    Thanks.

You have to be provided with opt out facilities - you'll need to go into each casino though and go to marketing settings.

You may find some of these are not actually from the casino but from some other 'partner'

So, even if I opt out of getting letters, I still may receive some from the "other partner"?

    Novibet

    Unibet

    Nektan Casinos

    Grosvenor

    Aspire Global casinos

    Video Slots

All sound, though watch out for Nektans x4 bonus conversion if you take bonus's.

Included Aspire Global but i personally wouldn't play with them.

Personally, Unibet by a mile - instant cashouts and tournaments: IMO the best of them all.

Forgot to add L and L casinos: Hyper Casino/Yako: another top outfit.

Videoslots if you fancy some 91% RTP games and customer support that is as flexible as Margaret Thatcher - if you have a problem with these guys there is no leeway (compared to L and L): decision made, no dialogue, end of.

I'll check some of these out. Thanks!

    Evolution?

I've no evidence but there are too many stories regarding some weird play for there not to have an element of something amiss there - why i don't play online on Live Casino really: dealers lifting the second card on the deck, numbers called out and changed. I dunno. There's just summat.

Even so, it's the software provider anyway so regardless of what casino you're playing it they'll still, unless pirated, lifting it from the same place.

Just read - not live then, scrap that 😛

I'm even less a fan of the computer card games - at least slots give the impression of randomness😛

Yeah, 10 quid isn't a massive buffer - less chances to go on a run etc - same for slots, I hit ok on small deposits here and there but generally i prefer to give them a good run on a 100-200.

Evolution are affiliated with them according to Wikipedia and this article.

"During November 2013, Evolution Gaming joined Grosvenor Casinos to create a ‘Live Casino’ targeting players on their online casino. The games include blackjack, roulette and baccarat and are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. The live game system is designed to produce an environment more closely matching a real casino experience."

Though, according to their site, their software providers are pretty diverse.

"With access to over 15 software providers, our variety of games is unrivalled. Whether you find yourself in our land-based or online casinos, you will see a lot of crossover content powered by companies like IGT and Novomatic as well as one of the best software companies in online gambling – Playtech. And our live dealer games have been brought to life, and made better than ever, with Evolution Gaming."

Grosvenor are a pretty solid outfit - can't say I play Live Casino much as i do that in Land Based, though. if i did play Live, I'd probably go Novibet or Unibet

I guess it might just be bad luck then. I tend to just play with £10 in the deposit, so maybe that's the reason. I don't give myself enough breathing room.  I thought of checking out Arcane Bet if anyone has any advice about that?

And it wasn't Live Casino. It was all compute generated, software controlled games.

  9. I haven't seen Grosevnor mentioned here. So, I'll start with saying that I joined their site a little over a week ago and regularly played their various Blackjack games. I tried the slots and roulette games in the demo option. The slots were fine. Of course, I lost more in points than I put in, but that's expected, which is why I'd never put real money in them. The roulette games were mostly nothing out of the ordinary, but a couple had an odd tendency to consistently hit streaks of the opposite colour I bet on. Then, when I decided to change colour from red to black, FINALLY, it hit on red. I suppose losing streaks aren't unusual, but that struck me as suspicious.

As for Blackjack, I found that mostly, during the demo plays, I'd experience more variance in losses and wins, but even in the demo version, one Blackjack game in particular had the concerning tendency to give me a face value card whenever I ended up with a  hand totalling 12 or 13. This didn't always happen of course, but it happened so often, I'd say it was 90% of my experience with it that it occurred. With real money, even on low stakes Blackjack, I found that I would more often be dealt "hard hands" than during a demo play. Making my chances of losing higher.

I decided that it wasn't for me. Maybe I'm just really unlucky, but it raised too many red flags.  While I try and brush up on my strategy, can you help recommend another site for me to try?
