  1. Thanks for your reply.

The frustraiting part is that when joining these sites for "entertainment" you don't expect to trawl through endless ambiguous T&C's. When we're dealing with money you would expect places to be very black & white, after all you wouldn't get this problem at a real Casino so perhaps this proves that the very fact that you can physically make the breaches would suggest the system is not fit for purpose. Or perhaps the pesamystic side of me would suggest this is the purpose, if you lose your deposit - happy days the casino wins, you win the casino actively seeks out a reason not to pay out - they win.

Had the same issue with Spin Station a week later, this time with a different T&C, who I later find are owned by the same company. Something can't be right here.

  2. Hi there Jhowes and welcome to Askgamblers Forum. :hi:

It is sad to hear of your situation, having your winnings confiscated by the casino, but this is rather a very common occurrence amongst new gamblers who are not really aware of such casino rulings. Yes, it s stated that the casino has the right to confiscate ALL WINNINGS, meaning, not only to the winnings of each individual bet than were above the allowed maximum bet size, but may include all the total amount in your balance, at the casino management's discretion.

There are casinos that refunded the players deposit amount but confiscated all the rest, but there are also casinos that took everything, including the players deposited amount, rightly or wrongly.

Here in Askgamblers, there have been numerous such cases of winnings being confiscated by casinos, simply due to playing with bets higher than the allowed maximum bet size, and in most cases, it's a losing case against the casinos, because the rules have already been laid out for each and every player to see, to read, and to abide. But...most new players do not read these rules, or failed to take notice of them, so their cases become almost impossible to win.

Since you have referred this case to eCOGRA, then it's best to wait for their response first.

Anyhow, I wish you all the best and all the luck! :hi:

  3. Yeh got my deposit back which isn't much of a sweetener. A week later I was done by Spin Station with a T&C's clause. I've only ever won twice and both times had my winnings confiscated! I'm guessing this must happen a lot in this industry unless I am very unlucky.

  4. So won £1300 and apparently had a previous account so had all my winning confiscated!

After asking for details of this I have not recieved any details other than "managements decision is final" I had never verified or withdrawn from any other account so I don't know what relivance has to my winnings.

Had a similar issue with Miami Dice who have an incredibly strict approach to their T&C's resulting in me losing money. I have later found that this is a chain.

Does anyone know if I have a leg to stand on with this chain or is this how they do their business and no one wins?

  5. So Miami Dice have confiscated all my winnings. Turns out the have accused me of breaching clause 7 which states.

"The maximum bet allowed while the Welcome Bonus is in play is £5. Should You bet higher than this while the Welcome bonus is in play, the casino reserves the right to confiscate all winnings."

After showing 3 colleagues of mine who are all in the legal profession, we interpret clause 7 as, should you bet higher than £5 then you lose your winnings (of that bet) at no point does it say you would lose every penny you had won upto that point, nor did it prompt you to let you know you were contravening it, and then it would let you play on regardless, and then when you come to making a withdrawel take the whole lot away!

Regardless of this fact and to find the facts I tirelessly searched through my history and couldn't find when this had allegedly happened. Miami Dice were less than helpful and would not tell me anything other than to contact Ecogra!

After persistently asking for the evidence, which I think is fair when you take £1600 off someone, they refused to answer my emails altogether and closed my account.

Spoke to Ecogra 3 weeks ago and they tell me they are waiting on a reply, I'm guessing this will never come and I have been a victim of a scam.

Has anyone else had similar issues?
